Midcentury modern and Danish/Scandinavian style furniture is currently very popular in Sydney. We can fully restore all types of this furniture. The upholstery studio can help you select the correct seating foam and also the correct upholstery fabric, so your furniture looks and feels beautiful. We only use HD (High Density) foams because these give a lot of support and also last the longest without losing shape. We have a lot of experience with fabrics and can advise you on which fabric is best for midcentury furniture.

Midcentry furniture often has a lot of exposed timber arms and frame work. This type of furniture also often uses webbing supports and distinctive clipping systems. The Upholstery Studio are able to refinish timber to any degree required, from a light touch up that maintains the patina (the aged top surface of the timber) to a full re polish or Danish oil finish. Much of this furniture has spring and clip systems that often need replacing. We try to use the original hardware, or as close as possible to it. We can arrange any repair necessary.
