Hand stitched leather is something the upholstery studio can do. Hand stitched leather handrails add luxury to stairways and other spaces. This is a restoration on an Italian leather sofa. This sofa was 15 years old. The customer searched for a new sofa but had not luck finding one similar. We could have re upholstered this sofa, but the decision was made to keep original leather. All foam was replaced, and leather revived. The result is a great looking sofa at a fraction of cost of new like for like.

Full restoration of these Mid-Century Chairs. Designed by Charlotte Perriann in the 60s for the Les Arcs ski resort in France. These are in 3mm double butt top grain pigmented leather. The frames were striped back and painted. The original chairs are in a Tan leather, but the customer wanted to go with black on black. These chairs required good leather working and stitching skill in order to achieve the required finish.

We reupholstered this bench seating to feature fluted seat and back. Originally it was plain seat and back in an old and worn linen fabric. The customer wanted a pleather for practicality and budget as they have small children and plan to re do this in the near future. This is one of a set of 2 custom built in seating. Upholstery studio is able to build this type of seating from the ground up if needed. We can work from builders plans or just an idea.

The customer wanted seating to suit their minimal contemporary interior was comfortable and also practical. It was decided to go for custom bench seat in leather.

Leather was selected for durability. We advised client to finish with 2 long comparatively narrow cushions to maintain a contemporary feel. The Upholstery Studio also decided top stitched finish on the cushion works best in this setting.

The seating is 3.6m long and 650mm wide. The internal cushion is made from two layers of foam. The base layer is a 50mm firm with a top layer of 25mm soft. This creates a 75mm finish which is comparatively narrow without sacrificing comfort.

Built in bench seating is a great way to create seating in a modern setting with minimal fuss. Its also works well in window seats, creating a comfortable seat in a sunny spot.
